COCC Writing Center

The Writing Center providesfree Reading, Writing, and Study Skills Tutoringfor all currently enrolled COCC students forthe courses that they are currently taking at COCC.

Writing Center tutors can help with things like:

  • Understanding Your College Reading Assignments
  • Effective Study Techniques
  • Understanding Your Writing Assignments
  • Generating Ideas
  • Creating a Rough Draft
  • Revising and Editing
  • Formatting and Documentation

Using the Writing Center isFREEfor all COCC students, and you never need to make an appointment! To talk with a writing tutor, go to one of our in-person locations or click our Zoom link in Canvas whenever we are open.

Please also note that we only tutor for assignments for COCC classes. This means we cannot help with program applications, scholarship essays, or any other project not assigned for a COCC class.
